Almeria province on Spain's south western coast saw its first wind farm inaugurated in December. The 13.2 MW project is sited in Enix, just 15 kilometres from the city of Almeria. The development was co-financed by Made, the wind division of the power conglomerate Endesa, Nuinsa, a subsidiary of the Sevillana power company and the Sinae conglomerate. It is powered by 40, 330 kW wind turbines built by Made and cost a total of ESP 2.2 billion, ESP 330 million of which was in the form of a grant from the ministry of industry and energy.
