Zond's Z-40 turbine has again been chosen for a project funded by the Department of Energy and Electric Power Research Institute. Zond is supplying 11, 550 kW turbines to Green Mountain Power's 6 MW wind farm in Searsburg, Vermont. Technical support and $3.5 million for the project is coming from the Utility Wind Turbine Performance Verification programme. It is the second project for Zond under the programme.
