Low attendance at good event
Around 220 delegates attended one of the best organised UK wind conferences in recent years. The British Wind Energy Association's 19th annual gathering was held July 15-18 July at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh. Numbers were slightly down on the last two years and organisers were disappointed at the poor attendance of student members and academics. The low turn out was attributed to the proximity of the European Wind Energy Association's conference in Dublin in October. (A full report of the conference is scheduled for the next issue of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç).
