LCV obtains permits for four projects in north and western France

La Compagnie du Vent, a French wind project developer, has received permission to build four wind farms in north and western France. Two 10 MW projects will be developed at Boubers-sur-Canche and Monchel-sur-Canche, in the Pas-de-Calais department, and two in the Vendée: a 8.75 MW plant at Brem-sur-Mer and a 19 MW plant at Froidfond-La Garnache. It is expected that construction at all four sites will begin early in 2005, for completion by the end of the year. The make of turbines to be used is still under discussion. In its previous projects, La Compagnie du Vent has chosen turbines from Vestas or Gamesa.
