Joint Australian and Chinese developer commissions 49.3 MW wind farm
The 49.3 MW Shuangliao Wind Farm, a joint development by Australian renewable energy developer Roaring 40s and Chinese energy company China Datang Corporation, has been commissioned. The A$80 million project, located in Jilin Province, northeast China, is the Australian firm's first wind project in the country. It consists of 58, 850 kW Gamesa wind turbines. "The completion of the Shuangliao project has allowed Roaring 40s to build a successful partnership with the China Datang Corporation," says the company's Mark Kelleher. The two companies are investigating a number of other potential developments in China.
