Noise complaint

-

A building licence for a wind turbine installed just 170 metres from a residential dwelling has been revoked in a recent judgement by the regional court in Schleswig. The complainant had appealed to the court over the noise of the machine and the disco effect of sunlight shining through the moving rotor blades. This ruling is being taken on board as ammunition by fellow sufferers Gertrud and Hermann Zeiger in the neighbouring state of Lower Saxony. For years they have continued their fight against the erection of a turbine some 170 metres from their house in Oldendorf, near Bensersiel.
