Developer clinches equity and debt in Ontario
Schneider Power, a wind energy developer based in Toronto, has signed an agreement that will see a subsidiary of German wind project developer Energy Farming International AG provide project equity and debt financing for the construction of the 10 MW Arthur Wind Farm in Ontario. Energy Farming Invest Inc has also conditionally agreed to provide project equity financing for three more projects with a combined capacity of 26.5 MW. Under the terms of the agreements, Schneider Power will retain a 20% interest in each project and receive a development fee of up to C$2.3 million.
