The poorly attended exhibition at EUWEC '96 was one of the smallest for some years at a European wind conference. But with few customers present at the mainly technical event, most wind turbine manufacturers decided a modest presence was all that was required. Of the 31 exhibitors, all with relatively small stands, eight were wind turbine manufacturers, a further eight were consulting and service companies, seven were components suppliers, six represented wind centres or government institutes and two were Swedish utilities.
