Japanese developer assesses potential for wind in Taiwan and Australia
Japan's Electric Power Development Company (EPDC) is assessing the potential for developing wind farms in Taiwan and Australia. The plans for overseas development are still in their infancy and the company is reluctant to reveal details, but it is currently assessing possible locations for four projects in Taiwan as well as locations for projects in Australia. EPDC is apparently in joint-venture talks for co-development of projects in Australia with another company, but is bound by the terms of a confidentiality agreement. EPDC is a semi state owned energy project developer.
