Wenvor Technologies has joined forces with Danish turbine manufacturer Micon to propose a 225 kW turbine near Collingwood in Ontario. The bid has reached Ontario Hydro's short list of wind turbine demonstration projects under its Renewable Energy Technologies programme. A final decision is expected later this year. The small Vergnet turbines Wenvor is to make under a joint venture (see above) fall below Hydro's minimum size in its request for proposals for demonstration wind turbines.
