International trade fair claims yet another first for 2002
What is being hailed as the "first international trade fair for wind energy" is to be held at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre in June next year. The WindEnergy International Trade Fair is "a response to many wind market players' calls for an independent leading world trade fair to spotlight wind energy as a key issue for the future," according to the organisers, Hamburg Messe and the German association of machinery and plant manufacturers, VDMA. The biannual event is hoped to attract leading world equipment suppliers, developers, financial institutes, measurement and certification bodies and R&D experts. Germany's traditional biannual wind trade fair and conference, Windtech in Husum, will take place in September.
