$12.5 million turbines to a Chinese trading company,Conference Digest

The Export-Import Bank of the US is loaning $11 million to Zond Corp for sales of $12.5 million turbines to a Chinese trading company. Three small utilities in Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and Guangdong will install ten turbines apiece, said Zond's Bob Gates at “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç '96. The Ex-Im Bank, an independent government agency, approved $1.37 billion in "green" exports in 1995. Gates also confirmed Zond is talking with three utilities about Wyoming, in part about two sites near Foote Creek Rim where Kenetech “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç was to build 70.5 MW until its May bankruptcy.
