Manufacture of Dutch blades in UK

Dutch wind turbine blade company Aerpac is to start manufacturing its glass fibre blades in the UK. According to Colin Anderson from Aerpac UK, staff for the new factory at Glenrothes in Fife, Scotland are already being trained in the Netherlands and the firm is recruiting more. It plans to employ around 60 people within three years. The blades are intended mainly for the UK market. Aerpac expects a large demand for its blades from the next round of the Non Fossil Fuel Obligation (NFFO-4). And Anderson believes it could still get contracts to supply blades to wind farms installed under the last round of support (NFFO-3).x
