Belgian gearbox manufacturer Hansen Transmissions has delivered the first gearbox from its new factory at the Beichen economic zone in Tianjin, north-eastern China, final completion of which is scheduled for September. The gearbox will be used in a Suzlon 2.1 MW turbine. Hansen says its Tianjin factory is modelled on its gearbox plant in Belgium.
