MADE OF SPAIN FORCED TO DELAY
Made, Spain's biggest wind power developer and turbine manufacturer, has been forced to delay production of its two 500 kW prototypes, now under development, after components' suppliers failed to meet deadlines. According to the company's Gonzalo Costales, the fixed speed version, originally to undergo tests in June, will not be ready until the end of September and the variable speed model will not be revealed until early next year. Costales denies technical problems were at the heart of the delays, which are likely to hamper Made's production targets for 1996.
