Deadline for bids for 500 MW pushed back

Due to an administrative error in the dates published in different official documents, the French government has pushed back the deadline for its request for proposals for the first 500 MW of onshore wind farms. The deadline has been delayed by three months to January 31, 2005. The request is for projects of any size, lifting the 12 MW cap that has so far applied to projects eligible for premium payments under the French wind power program (“uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç, June 2004). The tender for the second 500 MW of a total 1000 MW the government is requesting has yet to be announced. The final date for bids for the 500 MW offshore request for proposals remains unchanged at August 13, 2004.
