WIND POWER PLANNING CONSULTANCY
The German Agency for Technical Co-operation (GTZ) has initiated an international wind programme aimed at providing assistance to utilities and others in the planning of wind power stations in good wind regions of the world. The aim is to help developers who have no previous experience with wind energy. The programme provides money for wind speed measurements, economic project analysis and support for tendering for consultancy, technology suppliers, and so on. The GTZ expects to be able to take on projects in two or three countries. So far several possibilities have been looked into but no concrete applications have yet been received from a utility or other organisation. GTZ welcomes enquiries about the new programme.
