Start on 300 MW in Liaoning

China Power Investment Corporation, one of the country's five largest state-owned power producers, is building a 300 MW wind farm in the north-eastern Liaoning Province for CNY 2.8 billion ($410 million). The project will be developed in 49.5 MW phases as the province's largest wind farm to date. Construction began in August on the first phase, the Tuoshan Wind Power Plant in Dalian City, to be made up of 33, 1.5 MW turbines, due online in December 2009.
