The fusion of wind turbine companies Micon and Nordtank into publicly traded NEG Micon A/S has been at the expense of profits, the new company's half yearly financial report reveals. From April to October 1997 the company lost DKK 3.7 million on a turnover of DKK 789 million. Company officials expect a better result at the nine month mark, however. Orders on the books amount to more than DKK 1 billion, it says. Many were due to be completed before the start of 1998.
