Rapid sales in wind plant shares

Bobikiewicz is not the only company attracting investors to a wind fund. Wind development and financing company Energiekontor in Bremen also reports a rapid sale of DEM 15 million shares in three wind projects, which together cost DEM 45 million. The sale of shares to private investors in wind plants at Ostemunde, Stotel and Niederelbe took just six weeks at the end of last year. With so much demand from prospective wind plant investors, Energiekontor immediately opened another fund, this time for a station at Drangstedt, in which DEM 7.5 million of shares were available in the DEM 23.5 million plant. All four sites lie close to the north German coast. By the end of 1999, Energiekontor was operating 140 MW of wind power in 25 wind stations.
