A memorandum of understanding in the field of renewable energy has been signed between the Solar Energy Centre of the Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources (MNES) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory of the US Department of Energy. Activities are to include joint work on technology innovation and promotion of technologies for energy conservation and cleaner energy supply. The co-operation will include exchange of technical information and joint testing of new equipment. The memorandum was signed by the MNES secretary N.N. Mookherjee and Ernest J. Moniz of the US DOE.
