The perception that wind turbines could cause problems for civil and military air traffic control is holding up thousands of megawatts of wind power projects in both North America and Europe. The problem should be short-lived, however. Pioneering work in Britain is busy verifying technical solutions to the potential hazard of radar interference from wind turbines -- and America's Department of Energy is satisfied that a technical fix is the answer.
