Unit[e] consortium

Unit[e], the British end of German green electricity supplier Unit Energy Europe AG, is now under the majority shareholding of a management buy-out consortium, Monkton Holdings Limited. The consortium was formed by Unit[e]'s five directors to buy a majority stake in the company from its parent. According to director Juliet Davenport, the company retains the Unit[e] brand in the UK. She also reports that Unit[e] now has a "back office business," Utility Link Limited, which owns the infrastructure and conducts the day to day business of trading and billing and offers these services to other companies entering the market.
