Google to buy power from Exus wind farm in Spain

Spanish developer Exus Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Google to supply electricity from a 35MW portion of its 51MW Cascante wind farm in Navarra, Spain.

The wind farm will provide Google’s Spanish operations over a ten-year period. The agreement supports Google in its aim to reach net-zero emissions across all of its operations.

It also marks Exus' transition to providing more renewable energy to data centres across Europe.

Spain aims to generate 81% of its electricity with renewable sources by 2030. The Cascante wind farm is expected to generate over 136GWh of renewable energy annually.
