Previous blade damage left Vineyard Wind turbine 'vulnerable to lightning strike'
The Vineyard Wind turbine that was recently damaged by a lightning strike had its lightning protection system disabled by a previous blade failure last summer, according to the government agency overseeing the assessment of the latest incident.
