Wind turbine maker Nordex sales chief takes on new role in ‘strategic move’

Nordex’s chief sales officer Patxi Landa has transitioned to a new role as head of Nordex Capital.

In this new role, he will provide support to customers in project development with a view to generating additional turbine sales opportunities, Nordex said.

CEO José Luis Blanco will take over Landa’s old role of chief sales officer for now. Blanco will also sit on the company’s management board alongside chief financial officer Ilya Hartmann.

A Nordex spokesman told “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç: “We are fully confident of the current [management] team size and strength. But if we feel a need to add one more member to the board, we can always do that in the future, if such need arises.”

Landa joined Nordex following the German wind turbine maker’s merger with Acciona “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç in 2016.

He helped to grow company revenues from €2.5 billion in 2018 to more than €7 billion in 2024, and helped the company achieve a record order intake of 8.3GW in 2024, Nordex said.

CEO Blanco said: “This strategic move reflects the company’s desire to foster ever closer relationships with its customers while also supporting revenue growth within its core business.”
