Nordex secures first Greek order for N175/6.X wind turbine

Nordex has received an order to supply Alterric with nine of its N175/6.X turbines from Alterric.

The deal will see Nordex supply and install the turbines at the 56MW Chalkidiki wind farm in Greece, before providing operations and maintenance services for 25 years.

The project – which is being built in the north of the country in the Chalkidiki region near Polygyros – will be the first Greek wind farm to use Nordex's N175/6.X turbines.

Installation of the 6.8MW turbines is set to begin at the end of 2025, with complete commissioning set for the middle of 2026.

Alterric is an onshore wind developer created by the Aloys Wobben Foundation (AWS) – which is the owner of Enercon – and regional German energy firm EWE.

Greece currently has around 3.7GW of operational onshore wind capacity, according to “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç Intelligence, the research and data division of “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç.
