Enercon has signed a letter of intent to supply 2.5GW of onshore wind turbines in Turkey and nearby countries.
The wind turbine manufacturer signed the agreement with Turkish energy companies Iş Enerji and Polat Enerji at the German-Turkish Energy Forum in Berlin this week (27 November).
In the letter, the partners agreed to jointly develop onshore projects in Turkey, as well as in nearby countries, over the next five years.
As part of the agreement Enercon will supply and install its E-175 EP5 turbine model at the projects. It will also carry out long-term service on the turbines.
