Vestas has received a firm order to supply 60 of its 15MW turbines to RWE’s 900MW Nordseecluster B offshore wind project off the coast of Germany.
The Danish manufacturer will be responsible for the supply, delivery and commissioning of the V236-15.0 MW turbines. The deal with RWE also includes a service agreement for five years, Vestas added.
The Nordseecluster is being constructed in phases A and B. Vestas is also due to supply the first phase of the project, the 660MW Nordseecluster A, with 44 of its V236-15.0 MW turbines.
The cluster is located approximately 50km north of Juist in the German North Sea.
Installation for Nordseecluster B is expected to start in 2028, with completion scheduled for 2029.
