Bidding underway in Central Atlantic US offshore wind lease auction
Bids opened in the latest US offshore wind leasing round today (14 August), with two Atlantic Ocean sites on offer off the coasts of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. The sites could support more than 6GW of offshore wind capacity, the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) believes.
