Plans for 350MW wind farm scrapped after Australian landowners ‘change of mind’

Renewables developer Ark Energy has scrapped plans for its 350MW Doughboy wind farm in New South Wales due to a “change of mind from some of the project’s involved landowners”.

Ark Energy – a subsidiary of international metals group Korea Zinc – has now decided not to proceed with the proposal in its current form, and has withdrawn its development application, it stated.

It may reconsider applying to build the project with a different design at a later date, pending further consultation, the developer added.
