German renewables developer PNE names interim CEO

German wind farm developer PNE has named a new interim CEO and has reached an "advanced stage" of finding a full-time replacement for the outgoing Markus Lesser.

The current chairman of the company’s supervisory board, Per Hornung Pedersen, will take on the role on an interim basis after Lesser’s departure on 31 July. Pedersen will also step down from his current role on the board.

Lesser is stepping down as both board member and CEO for “personal reasons,” a spokesperson for PNE told “uåX˜äŠÊ˜·³Ç. He has been at the company for more than 13 years.

Pedersen will be in the role initially until 31 March 2025, until a replacement is found. The search for a new permanent CEO is in an “advanced stage”, the company added.

Other changes to the company's management team include Roland Stanze, who currently works for PNE as executive vice president, starting as chief operating officer from 1 August.

Stanze brings “many years of experience in wind energy” to the role which will support the company “in its current growth phase,” interim CEO Pedersen said.
