UK companies 2H and Vekta Group Energy Division have announced a strategic partnership to drive innovation in cable system design and optimisation of offshore wind site layouts, alongside digital advancement through new software initiatives.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two firms establishes a framework for future collaboration on project tenders and software development both in the UK and worldwide.
Offshore engineering firm 2H has expertise in structural, hydrodynamic and geotechnical engineering, as well as related digital and integrity services.
Vekta focuses on the electrical engineering of high-voltage cables for offshore renewables. It has specialist expertise in sizing and array topology optimisation, lifecycle costing and loss assessment.
The companies have already collaborated on offshore wind power cable and integrity projects.
