Dongfang claims world first with 18MW offshore wind turbine installation

Chinese state-owned Dongfang Electric Corporation has installed what it claims is the world's most powerful offshore wind turbine: an 18MW model with a fully integrated medium-speed drivetrain and a 260-metre rotor diameter.
