Statkraft has completed its acquisition of Spanish renewables firm Enerfin from Elecnor. The deal increases Statkraft’s portfolio of renewables projects in operation and under construction by 1.5GW and also included a pipeline of solar and wind projects under development.
The portfolio includes significant opportunities to repower wind farms, develop hybrid projects and add battery storage in Brazil and Spain, Statkraft stated.
However, the company plans to sell off Enerfin assets located in other markets, including Australia, Canada, Colombia and the US.
“Statkraft is committed to finding new owners who can further create value by developing the business in these countries,” said Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal, president and CEO of Statkraft.
