Vestas’ board has proposed the election of two new members ahead of the company’s annual general meeting next month (9 April).
It has proposed electing Bill Fehrman – a former CEO of US utility Berkshire Hathaway Energy, and currently CEO of utility services company Centuri Group – and Henriette Hallberg Thygesen – executive vice president and chief customer delivery officer at shipping giant Maersk – to the board.
Vestas noted Fehrman has “in-depth knowledge” of the North American renewables market and experience of leading a US company that has invested heavily in renewables.
It also noted that Thygesen has “in-depth knowledge” of international supply chains, the energy transition and “multicultural management”.
Fehrman and Thygesen would replace Bruce Harvey Grant and Kentaro Hosomi, who have both decided to stand down.
- Vestas’ board has also proposed the re-election of its other members:
- Former Vestas CEO, Anders Runevad;
- CEO of satellite operator Eutelsat, Eva Berneke;
- Former Danish prime minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt;
- Former CEO of Nordic paper company Stora Enso, Karl-Henrik Sundström;
- And founder and partner at Swedish electronics firm Olving & Ohberg, Lena Olving.
