Vestas plans to develop a 220MW wind portfolio in Castilla y León, Spain alongside Australian developer TagEnergy.
TagEnergy will explore the potential for adding battery storage to the portfolio. It currently has more than 270MW of battery systems under construction in the UK.
The companies are already working together on wind farms in Australia.
While it is better known as a turbine manufacturer, Vestas has a 30GW-plus project development pipeline.
