Indian turbine manufacturer Suzlon has secured a turbine order for a 624MW wind farm in Andhra Pradesh.
It will supply 214 of its 3MW turbines to Evren Company, a newly formed joint venture between asset management giant Brookfield and Indian utility Axis Energy.
The S144-140MW turbines will feature a hybrid lattice tubular tower and doubly fed induction generator.
Suzlon is due to supply, install and commission the turbines, and then provide operations and maintenance services after project commissioning.
Evren is a new development platform aiming to build more than 6GW of renewable energy assets in the next three years.
