Swedish onshore wind farm to power glass packaging firm

Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe (AGP-Europe) has signed a ten-year deal to buy all of the output from Renewable Power Capital’s (RPC’s) 161MW Vitberget wind farm in northern Sweden.

The deal is planned to start in 2026 once operations begin. It will cover approximately 40% of AGP-Europe’s power load.
Martin Petersson, CEO AGP-Europe, said: “We are delighted to take this next step on our sustainability journey, securing renewable energy from RPC in a long-term partnership.”

Vitberget forms part of RPC’s four wind farms, 553MW cluster in the Kramfors and Sollefteå municipalities.

Nordex is due to supply 80 turbines for the four wind farms.
