Delivery firm DHL Group has agreed to buy power from RWE’s 342MW Kaskasi wind farm in the German North Sea through a long-term power purchase agreement.
From 2026, DHL will buy around 104GWh of electricity per year from Kaskasi – enough to meet around 19% of its current annual electricity demand in Germany, the delivery firm stated.
Lidl-owner Schwarz Gruppe is also buying power from Kaskasi.
Kaskasi was commissioned last year and features 38 of Siemens Gamesa’s 8MW turbines, three of which include recyclable blades.
