GE in line for nearly 700MW wind turbine deal in Spain

GE Vernova has signed a framework agreement with Spanish developer Forestalia that would see the US manufacturer supply up to 693MW of its turbines.

It would supply 110 of its 6.1-158 turbines for 16 future onshore wind farms throughout the Aragon region in north-east Spain under the terms of the agreement.

The projects are due to be installed in six phases – the first of which is already underway, with 33 turbines due to be installed at five wind farms.

All turbine deliveries are due to be completed by the end of 2024.

GE has previously installed more than 1.5GW of its wind turbines in Aragon.
