RES applies for 200MW-plus onshore wind in Scotland

Global renewables developer RES has applied to build more than 200MW of new onshore wind capacity across two projects in Scotland.

It has applied for permitting approval for its 19-turbine, 125.4MW Longcroft project in the Scottish Borders in the south of the country.

The developer has also applied for the rights to build its 16-turbine, 105.6MW Hill of Fare project in Aberdeenshire in the east of Scotland.

The two projects would feature 6.6MW turbines.
