Construction works have commenced at the site of SSE’s onshore 28MW Chaintrix project in Marne, Grand Est. It is SSE’s first project to enter construction outside of the UK and Ireland and the first from its southern Europe pipeline acquired last year.
Eight SG 3.4-132 turbines will be installed, with commissioning scheduled for the end of 2024. Meanwhile, Engie has inaugurated its repowered Plouarzel 1 wind farm in Brittany.
