Australian utility Snowy Hydro has signed an agreement to buy energy and green certificates for 40% of the output from the 756MW first phase of TagEnergy’s Golden Plains wind farm.
The 756MW wind farm is part of a planned 1.3GW complex near Geelong in Victoria, south-east Australia.
TagEnergy reached financial close on the project in November 2022.
It is negotiating further offtake agreements for the wind farm, and claimed it has received “significant interest”.
Golden Plains Stage One is due online next year.
