Siemens Energy pulls 2023 profit guidance as Siemens Gamesa wind turbine failures increase

Siemens Energy has scrapped its profit guidance for 2023 due to a “substantial increase in failure rates of wind turbine components†at subsidiary Siemens Gamesa. It expects to spend more than €1 billion to sufficiently improve the quality of some of the manufacturer’s onshore wind turbines.
