Octopus Energy Generation has acquired an under-development 11.4MW wind farm planned at the site of a former US air station in western Germany.
It bought the wind farm from RES Group, which will build the wind farm and help to manage its operations under a 20-year contract.
The wind farm is due to consist of two Nordex turbines.
Construction of the wind farm near Prüm in the Rhineland-Palatinate has already started.
It is due to be commissioned in 2024.
Octopus is already managing more than 100MW of onshore wind farms in Germany, and claimed it has “several more deals in the pipeline” to boost its pipeline in the country.
