Ocean Winds has confirmed the final investment decision for the €2.7 billion 500MW Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm in France.
It means the EDP Renewables and Engie joint venture has secured €7.4 billion of investment this month and entered the construction phase on nearly2 GW of offshore wind projects this month. The other projects are the 500MW îles d’Yeu Noirmoutier offshore wind project in France and Moray West (882MW) in Scotland.
In the last year, OW has expanded its global presence. New projects include: Caledonia (2GW), Bluepoint Wind (1.7 GW), Arven (1.8 GW), the Shetland project (500 MW) and Golden State Wind (2GW). From those 8 GW secured in 2022, more than half will deploy floating technology.
