Oil and gas major Repsol has acquired three unspecified wind farms in northern Spain from German developer ABO Wind as it builds out a renewables fleet in its home country.
The three projects have all already received a positive environmental impact statement and are due online between 2024 and 2025.
They will share interconnection infrastructure with Repsol’s planned 175MW PI wind project.
The Spanish firm aims to have 6GW of operational renewables capacity by 2025. It currently has just over 1.8GW operational in the country.
