RES prepares 250MW onshore wind in Scotland

RES has advanced more than 200MW of new onshore wind capacity in Scotland, applying for a 126MW project and closing a consultation on a separate 122MW project.

The developer has submitted a permitting application for its 21-turbine, up to 126MW Bloch project in the south of the country.

It is planned for a site adjacent to the existing 30MW Solwaybank wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway.

Meanwhile, a four-week pre-application consultation for RES’ 122MW Hill of Fare project has closed.

The 17-turbine development is planned for a site in Aberdeenshire in the east of Scotland.
