Ørsted has completed its divestment of 50% of the recently commissioned Hornsea 2 offshore wind farm off the north-east coast of England.
The buyer is an investment consortium comprising AXA IM Alts and Crédit Agricole Assurances.
Danish developer Ørsted had announced the £3 billion (then €3.6 billion, an amount today closer to €3.4 billion) deal in March.
Hornsea 2 consists of 165 of Siemens Gamesa’s SG 8.0-167 DD turbines. It is the world’s largest operational offshore wind farm.
